South Alder Farms represents a family tradition of berry farming which goes back decades. We grow only the finest varieties of berries. The rich soil and mild climate of B.C.'s Fraser Valley help combine ideal growing conditions for us to harvest from mid-June through to November. At South Alder Farms, Food Safety has always been a priority; we have annual Food Safety Audits in the fresh packing and IQF processing facilities by third party auditors. We are HACCP certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency who conducts ongoing audits of our operations.

Integrated Pest Management is a process we have been using for years. It involves monitoring our fields using a professional monitoring service and using biological controls whenever possible. We use chemical controls only when necessary. By implementing this program, we have decreased our use of chemicals by more than 50% in the past 10 years.
